Due In Class Monday, 10/16 -- Speech 1 Evaluation
I think my speech went fairly well overall. I think there were some moments when I felt like I was repeating myself or not being extremely clear. Ultimately, I think my speech was well-structured and my delivery adequate, but I feel like I could appear more confident and engaging.
One way I can improve my delivery would be to better use the space in the classroom throughout my speech, instead of staying in one place. Another way would be to avoid vocal fillers.
There are strategies I could implement to improve my speech-making abilities. First, I could designate a spot in the front of the classroom for each point, for example, and move to that spot when I reach that point. I could also speak slower, which would help me avoid vocal fillers and foster audience comprehension.
